Terms of Service

Effective date: April 1, 2026

By using CampSnag, you agree to these terms. The short version: we alert you when campsites open, we charge a subscription fee, and we can't guarantee you'll get the site.

1. What CampSnag Does

CampSnag monitors campsite availability on recreation.gov and sends you an SMS text message when a campsite matching your criteria becomes available. We do not book campsites on your behalf — you must act on alerts yourself through recreation.gov.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use CampSnag. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Subscription & Billing

Free trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. No charge until the trial ends.
Starter Plan: $5/month — up to 3 simultaneous active alerts.
Unlimited Plan: $10/month — unlimited active alerts.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your account management page.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds.
Payments are processed by Stripe. CampSnag does not store your payment card information.

4. SMS Messaging Terms

By providing your phone number and consenting to SMS at signup, you authorize CampSnag to send you automated text messages about campsite availability. Message frequency varies based on availability. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For support, email support@campsnag.com.

5. No Guarantees

We do our best to alert you quickly when a campsite opens, but we cannot guarantee:

That a campsite will still be available when you click the booking link
Uptime or uninterrupted service — recreation.gov may be unavailable
That all openings will be detected (cancellations happen rapidly)

CampSnag is an alert service, not a booking agent. We are not affiliated with recreation.gov or the National Park Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Resell or sublicense CampSnag alerts
Use CampSnag to assist commercial ticket brokers or resellers
Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
Violate any applicable laws in your use of the service

7. Intellectual Property

CampSnag and all related content, trademarks, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute our service without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CampSnag's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CampSnag harmless from any claims arising from your violation of these terms or your use of the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
