By using CampSnag, you agree to these terms. The short version: we alert you when campsites open, we charge a subscription fee, and we can't guarantee you'll get the site.
CampSnag monitors campsite availability on recreation.gov and sends you an SMS text message when a campsite matching your criteria becomes available. We do not book campsites on your behalf — you must act on alerts yourself through recreation.gov.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use CampSnag. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.
By providing your phone number and consenting to SMS at signup, you authorize CampSnag to send you automated text messages about campsite availability. Message frequency varies based on availability. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For support, email support@campsnag.com.
We do our best to alert you quickly when a campsite opens, but we cannot guarantee:
CampSnag is an alert service, not a booking agent. We are not affiliated with recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia, the National Park Service, or any government agency. Availability data is sourced from public APIs provided by these services and may not reflect real-time availability at the moment you act on an alert.
Missed alerts: CampSnag is not liable for missed campsite openings resulting from recreation.gov or ReserveCalifornia API downtime, rate limiting, changes to their API, rapid rebooking by other users, or any technical failure outside our control. The campsite alert industry is inherently best-effort — we cannot guarantee detection of every opening.
You agree not to:
CampSnag and all related content, trademarks, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute our service without permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CampSnag's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages of any kind, including but not limited to: lost travel bookings, hotel cancellation fees, transportation costs, lost income, or any other losses resulting from a missed or delayed campsite alert.
You acknowledge that campsite availability changes within seconds and that CampSnag's alerts are provided on a best-effort basis. CampSnag does not guarantee that you will successfully book a campsite as a result of using our service. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to cancel your subscription.
You agree to indemnify and hold CampSnag harmless from any claims arising from your violation of these terms or your use of the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
