How fast does CampSnag scan?
We poll recreation.gov every 90 seconds per campground, 24/7. Cancellations typically appear within 2–3 minutes of someone releasing their reservation.
Does CampSnag book the site for me?
No — we send you a direct link to recreation.gov where you complete the booking yourself. This keeps things simple: you're always in control, and we don't need your payment info or recreation.gov login.
What parks do you monitor?
We currently cover 10+ parks including Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Zion, Grand Canyon, Glacier, Rocky Mountain, Acadia, Great Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone, and select California State Beaches. More are added regularly.
What's the difference between Starter and Unlimited?
Starter ($5/mo) gives you up to 3 active alerts at once — enough for most trips. Unlimited ($10/mo) removes the cap and lets you monitor multiple parks, dates, and add extra phone numbers for family or group trips. Both plans include a 7-day free trial.
What if I get a text but the site is already gone?
Campsites at popular parks can move fast — especially at Yosemite. If you tap the link and the site is taken, your alert stays active and we'll text you again the next time something opens. Most users snag a site within a few days.
Can I share alerts with my group?
Yes — on the Unlimited plan you can add up to 3 extra phone numbers per alert. Everyone on your list gets the same text at the same time, so whoever's fastest can book for the group.
How do I cancel?
Any time, no questions asked — visit campsnag.com/manage, enter your email, and cancel from there. Your alerts stop immediately.
