Tips to land a Joshua Tree site

Joshua Tree is extremely popular in cooler months. Here's how to maximize your chances of getting in.

Go mid-week if you can
Weekend sites at Jumbo Rocks and Black Rock are the first to go — and the last to cancel. If your schedule allows, targeting Monday–Thursday dramatically increases your options. Mid-week sites often still open up within days of your trip.

Set alerts for all three campgrounds
Jumbo Rocks, Black Rock, and Cottonwood all have different vibes and different cancellation rates. Monitoring all three gives CampSnag three times the surface area to catch an opening for your dates.
